Sales Engineer

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary technical liaison between the sales team and clients for automation products and solutions.
  • Understand customer requirements and provide technical solutions using automation technologies such as PLCs, SCADA, HMI, robotics, motion control, and industrial networking.
  • Develop and deliver technical presentations and product demonstrations to prospective customers.
  • Support the sales team in preparing proposals, RFQs, and quotations that align with client specifications and budget.
  • Work with engineering and product development teams to tailor solutions to customer needs.
  • Conduct site visits, technical assessments, and feasibility studies.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, competitive products, and evolving technologies in automation.
  • Assist in the development of marketing materials and case studies by providing technical content.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships to ensure high levels of client satisfaction and repeat business.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automation, or a related field.
  • 2-3 years of experience in technical sales or engineering in the automation industry.
  • Strong understanding of industrial automation technologies (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Mitsubishi, Schneider Electric systems).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to explain complex technical information to a non-technical audience.
  • Willingness to travel to customer sites as needed.
