Job Description:
The Quality Engineer is responsible for implementing and
monitoring quality standards at the project site, ensuring that all materials,
processes, and installations meet contractual, regulatory, and organizational
requirements. This role involves close coordination with project teams,
vendors, and clients to prevent defects, minimize rework, and facilitate smooth
handover to Operations & Maintenance (O&M) teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Quality Implementation & Monitoring
- Implement
the Field Quality Plan (FQP) at the project site in
alignment with organizational quality standards.
- Ensure
all activities comply with Quality Management System (QMS) procedures
during execution and testing phases.
- Monitor
execution against Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) to
prevent rework and repairs.
Inspection & Documentation
- Conduct Incoming
Materials Inspection (IMIR) and prepare detailed inspection
reports.
- Perform process
inspections for all site activities using approved Installation
Checklists.
- Obtain
acceptance signatures from the end customer on Installation Checklists.
Coordination & Communication
- Conduct
quality meetings with vendors, engineers, and project stakeholders to
address issues and ensure compliance.
- Participate
in meetings with clients, project teams, and contractors to facilitate
smooth project progress.
Reporting & Handover
- Prepare
and submit daily and weekly Quality Observation Reports to
the Head Office and site teams.
- Ensure
all punch points are resolved before project handover.
- Facilitate
handover to the O&M team with complete Handover-Takeover
(HOTO) documentation.
On-Site Quality Oversight
- Remain
stationed at the site during execution to monitor work progress and
quality compliance.
- Provide
guidance to site teams on quality standards and corrective measures when
needed.
