Job Description

We are looking for a highly skilled MEP Engineer / Manager for a leading Construction Company to oversee and manage all aspects of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems. The successful candidate will ensure that MEP systems are designed, installed, and function according to project specifications, building codes, and quality standards. They will also coordinate with various project stakeholders to achieve timely completion within budget.

Key Responsibilities

• Project Oversight:
• Oversee the planning, design, and installation of MEP systems, ensuring alignment with project specifications and client requirements.
• Manage the overall MEP project schedule, ensuring all deadlines are met and resources are efficiently allocated.
• Collaboration and Coordination:
• Coordinate and communicate effectively with architects, structural engineers, general contractors, and subcontractors regarding MEP system integration.
• Facilitate regular meetings with project stakeholders to discuss progress, challenges, and solutions related to MEP systems.
• Design Review and Compliance:
• Review MEP designs and drawings for compliance with industry standards, building codes, and safety regulations.
• Conduct feasibility studies and system evaluations to recommend improvements and ensure system efficiency.
• Site Management:
• Conduct site visits to monitor MEP installations, providing technical guidance and troubleshooting as needed.
• Ensure that all MEP work is performed safely and in compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Quality Control:
• Implement quality assurance protocols to verify that MEP systems are functioning as intended and meet established performance criteria.
• Lead final inspections and testing of MEP systems prior to project completion and handover.
• Budgeting and Cost Management:
• Develop and manage MEP project budgets, including cost estimation and tracking expenses throughout the project lifecycle.
• Identify potential cost savings and efficiencies without compromising quality and safety.
• Documentation and Reporting:
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of MEP designs, changes, and installation processes.
• Prepare and present regular reports to senior management on project status, challenges, and resolutions.
