Drafting Engineer

 Chennai, Tamil Nadu     2-5 Yrs    ₹3.75 - ₹4.75 Yearly

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare shop drawings, fabrication drawings, and installation details for faade projects
• Interpret architectural and structural drawings for integration into faade detailing
• Develop sectional details, elevation views, and material take-off drawings
• Coordinate with design, planning, and site execution teams to incorporate site conditions and updates
• Ensure all drawings adhere to company and project standards
• Maintain version control and drawing logs
• Support the design team in resolving technical drawing challenges
• Make timely revisions based on consultant/client feedback

Key Skills Required:

• Proficient in AutoCAD (2D drafting)
• Familiarity with Revit, SketchUp, or Rhino is a plus
• Strong understanding of faade systems and components
• Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings
• Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy
• Knowledge of basic engineering principles like thermal movement, drainage, and anchorage
• Good communication and coordination skills
• Time management and ability to meet project deadlines

Qualifications:

• Diploma or Degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Architectural Engineering
• 25 years of experience in drafting, preferably in faade or construction industry
