The Product manager will be heading the product management
team globally and responsible
to improve CUMI abrasives fastest growing product portfolio.
The position will be based at
Head Quarters and is a senior-mid management position.
Job Description.
• Set the vision and direction for the portfolio, act as the
CEO of the portfolio.
• Define the product strategy roadmap and manage the product
P&L
• Own continuous product upgrade vision and continue to hold
the market leader position
• Draw the investment and resourcing plans for portfolio
• Manage the portfolio mix and lifecycle and maximize the
market share.
• Be the recognized expert in the business on the product,
the market, relevant technology,
and the competition.
• Be the custodian of the customer and market solution w.r.t
the product group.
• Propose a product marketing plan and budget and then
deliver against it.
• Manage product launches.
• Own, develop the brand assets, trademark etc
• Drive the anti-counterfeit measures
• Commission market and competitor research.
• Spear head competition benchmarks both internally and
externally.
• Determine and deploy core positioning. Price and promote
the product with appropriate
relevance to the strategy and P&L requirements.
• Be recognized as a leader in the business and build
relations with business stakeholders
such as manufacturing, sales, sourcing and vendor teams.
• Provide direction, training and sales support to the sales
and channel teams.
• Evangelize the product internally and externally
• Deliver on P&L. Volume, revenue and profit forecasts
• Drive the market share gain projects.
• Manage a team of product marketing managers, activation
managers and application
engineers, in a matrix setting.
Qualification:
• Proven work experience in product management from power
tools, building material /
construction chemicals, pipes, cables, welding electrodes
sanitary and architectural
fittings, paints and allied fast moving industrial goods
industry
• Proven experience in managing both margins and sales
growth.
• Must have worked with a premium brand only. Experience as
a price leader is a must.
• Proven track record of managing all aspects of a
successful product throughout its
lifecycle
• Proven ability to develop product and marketing strategies
and effectively communicate
recommendations to executive management
• Solid hands-on experience in retail industries. Candidates
from industrial and project
sales will not be looked at.
• Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to roll up
ones sleeves to get the job
• Skilled at working effectively with cross functional teams
in a matrix organization
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
